Grosser Mythen - Mythenweg
The Mythenweg is steep and has 47 hairpin bends from Holzegg to the summit. At bend 29, the 'steinerne Bänkli' invites you to rest. The trail is well developed, with delicate and exposed sections secured with chains. It is rated T3 in terms of difficulty and is easily accessible in good conditions. Good footwear, a head for heights and sure-footedness are prerequisites. The trail is maintained and cleaned every year by the Mythen Friends. The safety chains are removed in winter. Attention! Please note that the Mythen area is a hunting ban area and therefore hiking or skiing is only permitted on marked trails, the use of drones and any camping / bivouacking is prohibited.
