14-Nothelfer-Kapelle
Die Kapelle zu den vierzehn Nothelfern bestand nach Kyd schon 1576 und befindet sich an der «alten Gass», am Hügelchen Gütsch.
The small chapel is rectangular and measures 3.10 metres by 1.95 metres on the inside. It is also covered with a simple wooden barrel. The sides of the chapel are adorned with wooden panels painted in the 18th century depicting the 14 holy helpers "Blasius, Cyriakus, Georg, Erasmus, Vitus, Margeritha, Achatius, Christoporus, Pantaleon, Aegidius, Eustachius, Dionisius, Katharina and Barbara".
Three late Gothic statues stand on the altar: Pietà, Petrus and Paulus. There is an interesting copy of the Pietà in the altar of the charnel house in Steinen. The three statues date from the first third of the 16th century and their current version is baroque. The precious Pietà was installed in the Federal Chapel at the beginning of the 1950s. Unfortunately, it was stolen from the Federal Chapel in November 1985 and could not be found again despite intensive research. The replica was made on the basis of a cast of a similar statue from the same period, which existed in Rickenbach and served as a model. The inauguration took place at the end of August 1996 with a festive programme.
